The Power of Women
“Advocating for fathers isn’t about diminishing mothers!”
Your Crucial Role
Women can be the most influential piece in creating the change we strive to reach. Fatherhood wouldn’t be a thing without beloved mothers. Because of their influence, daughters and wives can be the difference in the life of a father. We need every woman to help support, love, and encourage their fathers and/or husbands. Fatherhood would not be possible without you!
Your Part
Click on one or more of the roles that apply to you to get more insight into why women are essential in this fight for fatherhood. It may seem counterintuitive but we know you can influence the men in your life more than anybody else! It’s imperative that men have support in their lives whether they are fathers or not.
-
You are the backbone to your husband. When you love and support him he can be at his best. Remember to compliment, encourage, and be there for him at all times.
-
As a mother, you have the opportunity to be an equal partner to your husband. Your roles may look a little different but as you work together you can create a wonderful life for your kids.
-
Every girl, mo matter the circumstances, is a daughter. You can be a great support to your dad as you love him, show him you care, and let him play a role in your life. Tell him you love him today!

And with that in mind, fathers are frequently left out of the conversation when it comes to childhood development, emotional maturity and mental health. However, according to Dr. Linda Nielsen, Professor of Adolescent and Educational Psychology at Wake Forest University, daughters who had strong relationships with their fathers growing up (no matter their economic or educational background, race or religion) get better grades, go on to make more money, and are more emotionally resilient as adults than peers who did not.

It Always Takes Two
Like mentioned in the quote above, a father can make all the difference in the life of his daughter! When a father loves his daughter and a daughter loves her father, the bond between them can make all the difference in their respective lives.

Attorney Marilyn York owns a Men’s Rights Family Law Firm in Reno Nevada, established in 2001. She and her team focus on representing men in court because she knows that fathers are crucial in the development of children. Despite her focus on representing men, Marilyn has a deep compassion for women in need as well. It isn't lost on Marilyn that women remain disadvantaged outside Family Court. We encourage you to watch this video and learn from an expert in the field!
If you're a mother, encourage and facilitate the relationship between your children and their father instead of trying to interfere or control it. If you're a child, spend time with your dad, ask him to do something, seek his advice and guidance.

Why Fathers Make Wives Stronger
As fathers execute their role, it inevitably opens up more possibilities for the mother. Mothers deserve time to focus on growing individually; whether it’s physically, mentally, spiritually, or socially. A present father can create a better mother and vice versa. As you support each other by being flexible, giving, and empathetic, you’ll eventually see tremendous shifts in your marriage and parenting.
